Meet Mrs. Laks:
This year marks the 13th year Mrs. Laks has been at P.S. 76. She began her career at the school as a second grade teacher and then as a third grade teacher. After that, Mrs. Laks became the Literacy Coach for grades K-2. This year she is the Data Specialist for the school. Mrs. Laks graduated from CCNY with a degree in education. Mrs. Polcari attended Providence College for her undergraduate studies and obtained her bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Ms. Mapeso attended De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute in the Philippines. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. She started working for the Department of Education in 2005. This is her 11th year working at PS 76.

Mr. Mayes completed his undergraduate studies at Hunter College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. He then attended graduate school at New York University, where he received his Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Fordham College at the Rosehill Campus in the Bronx. She obtained a Master's degree in Urban School Psychology from Fordham's Graduate School of Education at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Meet Mr. Dias:
Mr. Fernandez Dias is a NYS Licensed Bilingual School Psychologist fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese. He has a Bachelor's in Psychology, a License in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree in School Psychology from the University of Paris, France. He has also performed post graduate work in New York at the School Psychology Department of St. John's University.
